Tabanan
Tabanan is in the heart of the rice belt of southern Bali , boasting a
fertile landscape that is simply stunning. Many areas of Tabanan have
not yet felt the impact of tourism development and there is plenty of
breathtaking natural scenery where verdant rice terraces have literally
been carved into the landscape by generations of humble farmers.
Tabanan is also a great centre for the arts of Balinese dance and
traditional music. The village Kerambitan is particularly noted for its
beautiful old buildings including two 17th-century palaces.
